Holy Week Services and Easter Services with Zoom links
All are welcome to attend the Holy Week and Easter services at Peace Lutheran Church. Holy Week is a solemn time that gives us the opportunity to reflect on the passion and death of Jesus. The Maundy Thursday service ends in silence with the stripping of the altar. We enter the sanctuary on Good Friday with a black cloth draping the cross and seven candles burning on the altar. The service is called tranebrae, a Latin word for darkness. As the service proceeds, candles are extinguished and lights gradually dimmed reminding us of Christ’s death.
Easter is a time of joy and thanksgiving when we again shout “Alleluia, He is risen, He is risen indeed.” Please join us this week in remembrance and celebration.

As a faith community, we gather for worship seeking God. It is through Bible readings, music, thought-provoking messages, prayers, and in the bread and wine of communion that we encounter Christ and are renewed.
