Children & Family Ministry

Children in worship?

In a word, “YES!” At Peace we welcome children of all ages to be a part of us during worship in the sanctuary. We do not segregate little ones to a different part of the building because they haven’t yet mastered the art of sitting still. However, if you feel like your child would benefit from a slightly quieter experience, we have a nursey, and a Zoom equipped library next to the sanctuary where the service is live streamed.

Sunday School

Children from pre-school to second grade gather after worship for roughly a half hour to learn about how Jesus loves them, others and the world. In Sunday school your child will learn through teaching, activities and crafts the basics of the Christian faith. Baptism and First Communion classes are taught separately. If you are seeking baptism or First Communion for your child. Please contact Pastor Chris directly.

Your Child’s Safety

At Peace we take the safety of all people, but especially the safety and well-being of children seriously. All volunteers and staff who work with your child have been trained and vetted through the Safe Gatherings program. For more information about this important training commitment please click on the button.

Youth Ministry Team

Living in God's amazing grace, we partner with families to reach and teach children to love God, love one another, grow in Christ, and go in Christ.

The Children and Family Ministry team consists of members who have a heart for Christ, a love for children, and gifts to serve in the areas of this particular ministry mission. They work as a small group, meeting every four to six weeks to be in God’s word, to pray together, and to implement the above stated goals. Meetings also consist of reassessing what we are doing, what is working, what no longer serves the mission of Peace and/or this ministry, and looking at new ideas and additions.

If this sounds like you, please know that It always fills us with joy to welcome new members to our team and we would love to hear from you!

Our Goals:

  1. To support, empower, and equip parents and families through small group education and relationship building opportunities.

  2. To share with the children God’s love in word, action and deeds by providing meaningful, experiential programming in small group settings.

Resources for
Family Faith Formation.

Family life is often hectic! Finding time to gather as a family to connect and reflect on our faith can be hard to do. And yet sharing your faith with your children can be a most rewarding and fulfilling experience. You are your child's best teacher. By worshiping and talking about your faith, you set a powerful example. And you don't need to be a seminarian to have those discussions with your family.
