Adult Discipleship.

We encourage the people of the Peace to participate in Small Groups of some kind.

In Small Groups, people grow in faith and grow closer together, as they serve, support, study, and pray.

New groups begin all the time for varying lengths and varying purposes – for fellowship, ministry tasks, and Bible Study.

To explore groups that would match your interests, contact Pastor Chris.

Small Groups are involved in study, care, prayer, and service. Here are some that are currently meeting:

  • Weekday morning Bible Study (Tuesday and/or Wednesdays)

  • Art Team

  • Youth Team (supports the youth ministry)

  • Justice Ministry (They work with IMPACT, and action-based local organization seeking justice)

  • PACEM team (People and Congregations Engaged in Ministry, a grassroots organization that works with local congregations and community groups and 3,000 volunteers to provide Wintertime shelter and related services to the homeless.)

  • Worship Servants (individuals assisting with worship each week, including ushers, sound operators, projectionists, assisting ministers, cantors, and nursery helpers)

  • Altar Guild (maintain and prepare communion and the altar paraments)

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry (a group that meets weekly to knit prayer shawls to comfort those in need)

  • Prayer Bead Ministry (a group that meets bi-weekly to make prayer beads to share with those who like to use them as part of their prayer life)
