ChrismonWorkshops

A new tradition was started last year at Peace when we made Chrismons and decorated a small Chrismon tree in the narthex(entry area). On Christmas Eve following the worship service, each family was invited to take a Chrismon home with them to hang on their family tree. As we progress in skill and motivation, different Chrismons will be added each year.

Once again, members of the Peace community along with your friends & neighbors are invited to "build a Chrismon tree." This year, don’t worry, no fish but instead we will make the Six-Point Creator’s Star. It is a reminder of our all-loving Creator, who made the earth in six days. “For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” Exodus 20:11. The first name given for God is Elohim and points to God as the all-powerful creator (Genesis 1:1).
