Youth MINISTRY

Picture

Peace offers a Middle School Youth Group (grades 6-8) and a High School Youth Group (grades 9-12), both of  which meet weekly and also participate in Virginia Synod youth events.
We also offer a youth group for Fourth and Fifth Graders that meets after the second service on select Sundays. (Currently on hiatus until we can meet in person again.)
Our youth are a vital part of Peace and we welcome all to join us!

YOUTH REFUSE TO HAVE FUN TOGETHER. NOT!
We have regular gatherings (food, fun, fellowship and whatever else comes up) on Sundays for Senior High Youth and Mondays for Middle School, both at 6 pm in the church parking lot (via zoom in bad weather.) SEE YOU THERE! Questions? Contact our Director of Youth Ministries, Jennie Carter at plcyouth@gmail.com.

SCENES FROM WINTER CELEBRATION 2020
This year’s Winter Celebration, based on Matthew 7:7-8 (Ask, Seek, Knock) was one of deepening roots, renewing faith and joyful reminders of God’s love for each of us. Five youth from Peace Lutheran stepped into a rhythm with three hundred other youth and adult leaders that flowed through six large group and five small group gatherings. Joy, laughter, tears, hope, fears and hugs were abundant as all dug into God’s word and were reminded of God’s presence, promises and love.

 Hope to see you there!

Senior high youth group

The High School Youth gather every Sunday evening from 6:00 - 8:00pm to discover how God is active in all aspects of their life, to grow in His love and enjoy the presence of Christ in their daily life.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12:  Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
