Come as You Are

What do we believe?

We are Christian.
  • We follow Jesus Christ and His teachings.
  • We believe that he was the Son of God sent to become human.
  • We believe in the divinity of Christ.
  • We believe that Christ is with us today, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in the Gospel, and in the sacraments.
 More about this

We are Lutheran. We are members of the ELCA, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
  • We are called Lutherans after the church reformer Martin Luther.
  • We are saved by Grace alone, not through anything of our own doing.
  • We are saved through faith alone; we confidently trust God who promises forgiveness, life, and salvation through Christ.
  • We believe that the Bible is the norm by which all teachings and standards are to be judged.
 More about this

We are diverse in backgrounds and gifts.
  • We believe that we are given unique backgrounds and gifts of the Holy Spirit for the common good. (1 Corinthians 12:7-10 NRSV)

We are on the same journey together.
  • Our unique backgrounds and gifts are given to us by one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:11)
  • We are one body, with many members, baptized into the same Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:12)

We are disciples of Christ.
  • We connect people in community centered in the Word so they can grow in Christ and go in Christ.
  • We nurture faith growth and equip leaders.
  • We value community and recognize that spiritual growth and transformation occurs within the framework of accountable relationships.
"We are called to love God, love one another, grow in Christ, and go in Christ."
