Sunday School for God's children of all ages
(Preschool through Adult) begins at 10:15am during our program/school year.
There is no Sunday School during the summer.
Preschool - High School Curriculum:
We provide an age-based curriculum with fun, interactive lessons for our preschoolers - kindergarteners, and 1st- 5th graders and
Middle through High Schoolers. Committed volunteers help our children learn about the Bible and our faith in an engaging, relaxed format.
Come see what it's all about!
In April, our Sunday morning adult class will focus on worship from the inside out. Get a "behind-the-scenes" look at our worship and how it all comes together. The first half of each class will focus on the why of what we do, while the second half will be focused on the how. All participants will gain a greater appreciation of how worship works, and new and current worship servants will be trained or refreshed in their roles.
April 8: hospitality in worship (ushers)
April 15: leadership in worship (assisting ministers)
April 22: communion in worship (altar guild)
April 29: technology in worship (projection and sound)
We also have an informal group that will meet for coffee and conversation on the readings, current events, or any topic of interest going on concurrently, facilitated by church members.
There is no Sunday School on Easter Sunday, April 1.
We follow the Narrative Lectionary in our worship services here at Peace. Scripture and messages share the story of God’s love in worship. Weekday and evening Bible and book studies are held at various times during the week and all are welcome to join.
Non-Sunday Morning BIBLE STUDY
offered at two times each week
Tuesday Mornings 9-11am (women)
Sunday Evenings 6-8pm
Join leader Katy Wessel as we explore Crossways: Sharing God’s Timeless Story Worldwide. This is a two-year overview study of the Bible by Henry Wendt, with DVD lecture by Wendt. Wendt is a Lutheran pastor and this study has been used internationally and interdenominationally.
The study is broken into six 10-week sections, three sections per year. You can find more information about the study program at www.crossways.org; if you are interested or have questions, please let Katy know at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Confirmation is not the beginning or the end of the faith journey. Confirmation is about preparing one's heart and making disciples.
Peace Lutheran's confirmation class will be held twice a month (as part of the youth group) on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm using the Colaborate Lutheran Confirmation curriculum from Spark House. Colaborate allows the youth to wrestle with the tension of Biblical truths and where/how to apply to their daily living. It gives each youth the space to start thinking about what they believe and why they believe it, providing the tools and language they need to do so. Each class starts with framing the problem, video, infographics and utilizes physical activity, while building lasting and caring relationships at church. Our goal is to take the knowledge of the faith from the head to the heart where Christ can dwell, sustaining the students through the highs and lows of life. This will be done in a large/small group rhythm, and is designed to be relevant to the lives of today’s teens.
Our large group time includes skits, games, and Bible time, along with the Pastor’s/Leader's teaching. (And a few creative interruptions to keep the kids guessing!) Large group time closes with a quiet wrap-up of the theme and a prayer/imagination journey.
Following large group time, small groups (a handful of kids each with an adult mentor) spread out in the church. They share their highs and lows of the previous week, and talk about what they heard in large group via discussion questions. These questions allow students to grapple with how the theme applies in their daily lives. For more information about our Confirmation program, contact Jennie Carter.
